Choosing the Right Size from SHEIN
SHEIN is one of the most well-known fashion brands that offer trendy clothes at incredible prices. Anyone who loves a good deal loves to shop at SHEIN and what is really unique about this brand is that they offer more than just the standard small mediums and larges. They have sizes that cater to women of all shapes and sizes in their SHEIN Curve and Plus clothing section.
Shopping online can be a stressful experience, especially as a plus-size woman. When you try on a new outfit, you’re supposed to feel excited. You naturally want to feel beautiful and radiant. So often, I have ordered items that always seemed to end up being two sizes too small and unflattering, and it really just brings me down. So how do you shop the SHEIN plus size selections without worrying that you’re ordering something that’s never going to fit?
I know just as well as any woman out there how hard it is to find a great outfit on the first go-round. The key to shopping online is finding your right size on SHEIN Curve. Here are my hacks to choosing the right size right from the get-go!
Don’t Shop by Size
Let’s face it, most retailers sizes never seem to be on the same page when they’re making their clothes. One of the biggest mistakes you can make when shopping online is by shopping by size. Many items you view just aren’t going to have the same fit, and when you only search the site by size, you limit the number of clothing you can shop.
Read Customer Reviews
Reviews are a great place to see what people really thought about the item. They often give insights into how the item actually fits. When I’m shopping, it’s the first place I look when I find an item I like and not just for clothes. You can see if the item tends to run true to size, if the material is good quality, and if you browse the pictures, you can see what they look like on real people.
Be Sure to Check Measurements
This is my number one go-to trick I always recommend when shopping for a plus-size outfit on SHEIN. The key to finding the perfect fit every time is to know your measurements. At least if you know your hip size and bust (your curviest parts), you’ll know if an item will be too small or too big. You can find those little tape measurers on Amazon if you don’t already have one on hand, and it’s worth the purchase! Measure yourself and measure again and memorize or keep a little sticky note open when you shop. Ignore the sizes when you shop and check out the size guides when you buy to ensure you know if an outfit will fit you.
Ignore the sizes, check the measurements, and read the reviews. Some of my favorite clothes are from SHEIN, and I highly recommend checking out SHEIN Curve. Use my discount code Tinas15 anytime you shop SHEIN for an extra 15% off. Subscribe to my newsletter for more!
